Research area:

My research aims towards understanding the dynamics of non-spherical particles in flowing soft matter. I primarily work with new material characterization techniques to study multiphase phenomena on the micro- and nano-scale to understand processes in making new materials using cellulose nanofibrils. These techniques include X-ray scattering techniques (SAXS, WAXS, XPCS), light scattering (SLS/DLS), neutron scattering (SANS), X-ray tomograpic microscopy (XTM) and polarized optical microscopy (POM).

I also work with novel ways to combine experimental characterization with numerical simulations as well as nonlinear dynamics theory to find reduced models to describe high-dimensional systems.
