This facility is at Innventia and consists of dynamic water sorption (DVS) equipment for careful measurements of moisture adsorption/desorption isotherms in hygroscopic materials, dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA), including creep and stress relaxation facilities and moisture sweeps, frequency sweeps. Dr Salmén also has FT-IR spectroscopy facilities possible to use during mechanical loading. Swelling/shrinkage measuring equipment for wood is under development, and will be placed at KTH.
