The workshop brought together the center and the competence, creating a valuable forum for scientific exchange and interdisciplinary discussions. The programme featured presentations from researchers within the centre as well as invited speakers from industry in Treesearch, international academia, and WASP – Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program. Their contributions provided new perspectives and sparked engaging discussions on the future of sustainable materials and technologies.
A highlight of the workshop was the pitch presentations and poster sessions by WWSC’s PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. These sessions showcased the breadth and quality of the research conducted within the centre, while also providing an opportunity for participants to discuss ideas, receive feedback, and identify new opportunities for collaboration.
As tradition dictates, the workshop also included competitions for Best Pitch and Best Poster. This year’s award winners were:

The Summer Workshop also featured the popular Science-as-Art session. This year’s competition included both a video category and a print category, showcasing the creative side of WWSC research. In addition to enjoying the impressive contributions, participants were invited to vote for their favourite prints. After a close competition, the audience selected the following winners:
