France and Sweden are collaborating at government level to strengthen the European forest-based bioeconomy, contribute to the Paris Agreement, and enhance EU competitiveness through renewable, wood-based solutions.

The partnership focuses on three areas: development of innovative wood-based materials in sectors such as construction, packaging, and chemicals; climate-smart forestry and improved wood mobilization; and stronger joint influence on EU policy.

To support collaboration within wood-based materials, relevant Horizon Europe calls for 2026 – 2027 have been identified. The aim is to bring together French and Swedish researchers to form strong consortia and develop joint proposals.

Workshop open for all interested Swedish researchers

All interested researchers are invited to join an upcoming online meeting, where participants will briefly present their research and interests in relevant Horizon Europe calls. The meeting will provide an opportunity to connect with potential partners, form consortia, and initiate collaborations that can secure funding and advance the Swedish–French wood value chain.

Researchers who express interest will be included in a follow-up process to identify a suitable date for the meeting, planned to take place in April.

👉 Deadline for expressions of interest: April 17, 2026

Please note the short deadline for responding.
