Wallenberg Wood Science Center (WWSC) is a research center striving for scientific excellence with a focus on new and sustainable materials from trees. We are now recruiting 35 PhD students and 3 postdocs to a dynamic cross-disciplinary research center in the forefront of bio-based material science.
Wallenberg Wood Science Center is a cross-disciplinary collaboration between three of the leading universities in Sweden: KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Chalmers University of Technology, and Linköping University.
By creating fundamental knowledge of the wood components and processes for extraction, modification and fabrication, we make innovative use of wood as raw material possible. Some examples are electronic textiles, energy storage, superstrong materials, bio-based glue and transparent wood.
