Project: 1.4.1b Fundamental Aspects of Native lignin Polymerization, Structure and Interactions

Research area:
The overall goals of this project is to gain fundamental understanding on the biosynthesis and structure of native lignin, its interactions with other cell wall polymers and the effect of these interactions on native lignin structure.
The subject is approached through in vivo and biomimetic in vitro lignin synthesis and compared to state-of-the art extraction methods from milled wood.
