Research area:
Regarding wood and its components, I am a bit partial to water and the role that rascal for a molecule has in wood and its components. One way I to scrutinise this issue is via NMR measurements, my favourite professional pastime (though, mostly on other materials) over the past 30 years. I am also involved a bit in molecular dynamics simulations in collaboration with Jakob Wohlert.
