Michael Malkoch

Malkoch's group conducts research focusing mainly on
a) identifying novel synthetic concepts to sophisticated precision macromolecules that are further manipulated to high-performance networks and
b) unfolding new materials methodologies that with the final goal to address current bottle-necks in the healthcare sectors.
These includes
i) polymeric therapeutic as next generation nanomedicines
ii) development of adhesives with unprecedented fixation of soft and hard tissues
iii) fabrication of soft networks with antibacterial properties to minimize surgical site infections
iv) polymeric scaffolds for accelerated tissue regeneration
v) surface manipulations towards ultra-sensitive biosensors.
