Project: Fluid Physics of Extreme States - New methodologies to create an open fibre wall structure

Research area:
Investigate the structure development of the fibre wall under extreme conditions, i.e. pressure. How can the increase of pressure gradients over the fibre wall affect its porosity and accessibility? How does chemically modified fibres respond to extreme pressures? In other words developing routes for fiber pre-treatment and nanocellulose production that are radically different from today’s technologies.
