Project: 1.1.2a Mass transfer challenges in wood decomposition

Research area:
The separation between cellulose and lignin is a crucial step in the material biorefinery. Recently, it has been found that the rate determining step is mass transport and/or adsorption of lignin in the cell wall. In this project adsorption and mass transfer of lignin molecules through model membranes is studied.
