Merima Hasani, division of Chemical Engineering at Chalmers, was promoted to Professor (Biträdande professor), in November 2024. Her research focuses on recovery and valorization of wood macromolecules with emphasis on solubility and functionalization of cellulose in aqueous systems.
Since November 2024 Lauren McKee is Associate Professor of Cell Wall Biochemistry at the KTH Division of Glycoscience. Her major area of interest is enzyme discovery and carbohydrate enzymology. in WWSC projects using enzymes to modify or fractionate biomass and biomass-derived polymers, and in projects that use enzymes to study the stucture of carbohydrates.
Mika Sipponen, Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry at Stockholm University, has been promoted to Associate Professor (universitetslektor) starting 1 January 2025. Mika Sipponen’s group develops lignin-based functional materials for sustainable energy and environmental applications.
